August

August was kind of a slow down month for us. We didn't do a whole lot. My best friend, Sommer, and her daughter and mom from Longview came to visit (sorry no pics, i'm bad!) and it was the same week as the fair!

This year, Adyson was old enough to enter something so I sent her out in the yard with my camera and let her take pictures of whatever she wanted. This was one of her best ones! She got a blue ribbon. First place!
This is one of my pictures. I also entered a flower picture. Both got first place! (I'll be honest, almost all the pictures people enter get blue ribbons ;)

The first day of the fair Adyson and Kamaile danced to Boom Boom Pow. They had a lot of fun!

We always go through the animal booths! Its my... I mean the girls' favorite part :)

One of her friends Ciara invited her to go to the fair with her and get her face painted. I think she said this was a cat face. When Adyson got back home Harper was still taking her nap and it was time for her to wake up so I sent Adyson in to wake her up. Scared Harper pretty good. I know I'm mean but it was funny!
Friday night of the fair Spencer and I went on a date! All we did was eat! Good food!

Saturday of the fair we went and Saw may parents work at the PUD booth and then met up with Spencer's parents and his brother Chris and Chris' girlfriend. We went around the booths, ate some more yummy food, and went through this wild animal exhibit.

on the 29th Taryn became a month old! Here are my attempts at taking nice-ish pictures. I forgot to take some until about 10 at night so this is what she gets!

Adyson lost another tooth! The tooth fairy came, but Adyson's room was so messy that she only left fifty cents and said you need to clean up so I don't get hurt and I will come back with more money ;) So Adyson tried her best and cleaned up. The tooth fairy came back and left a note saying its starting to look good and she needs to finish or she will come back and take the money back. Adyson kept working on cleaning. I personally love this tooth fairy LOL. A couple days later I was telling my parents the story and when I told them about the tooth fairy coming back Adyson said in a sly voice... "If she can find it." We had a good laugh about that.
And one random day in august I took this cute picture of Taryn.

August was a nice and easy month, but September will be BUSY!!

Rodeback Reunion

So I was crazy enough, that a day after I got out of the hospital after giving birth, that we went to my family reunion. It happened to be in Royal City so I wasn't too crazy!!!! It was so much fun! All the food was amazing! I could eat like that all the time. The decorations were so cute! Each day we would have family prayer and hear stories of our ancestors. We all had a blast. My fam decided that my Aunt Elaine should host it every year! ;)

The Reunion started July 31st with dinner at chicos! YUM

Aug 1st: It was very hot this day, so we just spent the majority of the day setting up for the fair and visiting. It was really cool. Everyone had booth, ring toss, photo, duck pond,store- my one aunt lives over in Saudi Arabia and she has traveled all over Europe and brought souvenirs back for people to buy, ... there were lawn games and even an exhibitor table where some family brought arts and crafts that they have done. My grandparents brought items from when they were babies. It was cool to see!

Taryn loved the heat while everyone else melted!
I cant remember the day, but we had a pie eating contest too.

Aug 2nd: This day was my actual due date. Thanks for coming early Taryn so we could go to this!
This day we went to Allred's pond and had a blast. I was going to skip this (I just had a baby and I thought it would be hot!), but it ended up being pretty fun to watch everyone swing off the rope swing.

67 people out of 97. So far at the beginning of next year we will be at 101!

We also got a chance to shoot some clay pigeons. I hit one!

So excited we did this! I have been wanting to do it for a while! We used my grandpas cattle brand and made these!

So tractor rides weren't supposed to be apart of the reunion, but while my cousin Thomas was moving a tractor he saw Harper and asked if she wanted a ride. That started it all. Every kid wanted a ride and of course the adults too so we had about 5 tractors running around with people in them! He had our own tractor derby!

Spencer driving a tractor for the first time

Adyson's turn!
And what would a family gathering be without the candy toss! I love this picture. You can see how happy Grandpa is!
And before everyone left I got my four generations picture. I love/hate this picture! I love my family but hate myself! I know, I know, I just had a baby and that shirt doesn't help! Note to self: burn that shirt.

Well the reunion was awesome and can't wait for next year!
