A few days before Christmas, Harper decided to crawl for real. She has been mobile for a little bit but she full on learned to crawl and hasn't stopped. She is getting so adventurous and has started to pull herself up on things and crawl anywhere she can .

She decided she wanted her toys out of the box

sorry about the mess but we are still moving in! lol. There was a small gap between the couch and the shelving and she thought she could make it through...

And here she is on the stool getting around. She just started doing this when we moved in. (this is recorded with our new camcorder my uncle got us! awesome gift!)

We now have to watch her every moment so she doesn't eat anything she finds and doesnt hurt herself, but its so cute to see her on the move. our lives are forever changed once again!

Christmas and New Years

Well i finally have time to update the blog. we just got internet today!!!

Christmas was so fun this year. Adyson was SO excited for it. It was Harper's 1st Christmas! We got so many cool and fun gifts! thanks everyone! For Christmas Eve we opened one gift with my fam and went over to spencers parents house for prime rib dinner and opened gifts. Christmas day we woke up and opened gifts with my fam and went to church with my sister, went to Christmas lunch/dinner to my Grandma Vasquez house and opened gifts. Then we headed on back to spencers parents house for more food and spent some time together. few! it was a busy holiday but so much fun.

On New Years Eve we moved back to Rexburg for speners final year. We are in our own place this year and its kinda crazy to not have people walking up above you or hearing other doors shut. It was of course harpers first new years so i had to take some pics!

Before Christmas gets here....I wanted to post about what we did leading up to it!

Spencer went and bought flowers before he went to work and hid them in the house. when i talked to him later he had me walk around to find them! He told me he jokingly/seriously didn't want flowers, so i made him a "bouquet" made out of his favorite candy and some jerky. he he he. i thought it was cute!

Good food, Family and fun...... That pretty much sums it up!

This Thanksgiving was so relaxed since past ones! no running around all over the place to make it to everyone. It was spaced out PERFECT! Maybe we can have the same times next year????? Well, Thanksgiving was just like every other one, besides it being Harpers first Thanksgiving so she had some baby food... sweet potatoes!

now we are in christmas mode! lights are going up, tree is going to get picked out this week, decorations are up, gifts shopping almost done, and christmas cards are made and ready to be sent out! If you want one, let me know your address! (either on here or facebook message me!)

Busy November!

And its only half over!

Well we started off the month with my birthday. I turned 24 on the 1st! I got two cakes too! Spencer made me a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, YUM and we had a little fam get together at our place the Sunday before.

On my bday i did the traditional make(or go out to eat) dinner with my parents. Hawaiian Haystacks, SO GOOD. They made me a white cake with strawberry jam/gel stuff in the middle with strawberry flavored coolwhip on top. SO good too. (man i hade some good cakes!) I also got some great gifts so thanks everyone!

On Nov 7th Harper turned 6 months old! CRAZY! I have such a cutie on my hands!

And to add to the mommy panic attack (or whatever its called), my big girl (she hates to be called baby) turned 3 on Nov 10th!!!!

On her bday we gave her just a little cake and one gift and she had a sleepover with the cousins! they watched a movie had some popcorn, and stayed up late. wait that was adyson, the other two fell asleep! One fell asleep right when the movie started and the other a little after! LOL its ok though she had fun with them before the movie! Thanks for coming!

And yesterday (the 12) Adyson had her Rio (the movie) themed bday party at the hotel!

Oct 22--- Like every year, we went to the Country Mercantile (on the way to tri cities) and picked out pumpkins! it was harpers first time! We did the usual hunt for the punpkins, pet the animals rode some rides, and ate all the free samples they had!

Adyson had her first pony ride! She LOVED it! We also went on the big blow up obstacle course they had (pic to be added later!)

Oct 27--- And of course he had the annual Bruce-Rodeback-King carving party!

I attemped to do wilson from castaway, Adyson wanted a butterfly, Harper got a one toothed jack-o-lantern and spencer did Chewbacca from star wars

When my sis told me that Kamaile was going to be Batman, I knew what Adyson was going to be! Robin! (she runs around the house now saying robin to the rescue!)

I decided to be green lantern, spencer was the incredible hulk, harper was the flash and adyson was robin

we are super excited for october to be here! cant you tell?

Well, lets catch up on what the girls have been up to...

Harper is rolling like crazy, talking like mad, and is working on sitting up for more then a few seconds. shes started eating rice cereal (like 2x a week)and loves it. Um...I'm trying to teach her to give kisses and shes actually getting it. They may be sloppy, and you may be covered in a slobber after, but they are so cute and worth it! She is becoming so much better with her hand/eye coordination and actually picks things up! Harper is also close to crawling. she scoots/army crawls a little bit and gets up on her knees all the time. Harper is one of the easiest babies ever. no joke!

Adyson is our little sweatheart and diva all rolled into one. she started dance last month and loves every minute of it. She LOVES to dance. She always asks to turn to channel 3 (the radio station channel with the ads slideshow) and dance. She is still in love with the movie Rio (good movie) and sings the songs (great music!) all the time. She amazes me everyday with the things she remembers....the words to songs, things I've taught her like her birth day, and to share.... if we have some treat or something she wants she says, "remember we need to share." Her favorite color is blue still(yes!). She loves Harper a lot and I always catch her laying down with her and trying to roll her over to her to cuddle. The other day I went into their room and found that Adyson had pushed a big Rubbermaid bin up to Harper's crib, climbed in, and was in there cuddling with her. they are the best and most beautiful girls I could ever ask for!

Spencer and I are doing to same old thing. He was hired on at the newspaper, and we'll i'm just being the stay at home mom! things are going great and this month is going to be busy!!!! Pumpkin patch, carving party, and trick or treating...and lets not forget getting the fall/winter clothes out! I LOVE fall just for the fact that I can wear my fav types of clothes! love this time of the year!!!

Well i better start catching up the blog....

Fair week (august 16-20) was fun! Spencer and i entered pictures this year and both of us got 1st prize. Adyson had fun petting all the animals and having some space burgers! YUM! Adyson also was in her very first play! SO CUTE! So we were walking around and a lady dressed as a cowgirl was walking around looking for kids to be in her wild west show. she came up to adyson and asked her. she shyly said yes. the lady asked if she knew what a cow said and of course she did because grandma rodeback has TONS of cows at her house! so the lady (wild jill hiccup) took adyson and dressed her as a cow for the Cutest Show on Earth kids dress up. There were cute mini stories other kids did and then it was adysons turn. Two girls got up and sang old mcdonald and then adyson said moo on her parts (with a little help) She did so well infront of people and she was SO cute! Apparently everyone else did too because she made the front page of the news paper! she actually had TWO pictures in it! and also that same paper, spencer was in it too for broadcasting the babe ruth world series! Anyway, it was tons of fun at the fair this year! I love going to it!

Also this same week spencers mom Cathy had her 50th birthday. we spent lots of time with family and friends. I actually met some of the family for the first time. It was so much fun! we had family pictures too, and once those are done i will post some. It was a fun week! And an awesome one too! Cathy was actually sealed to her parents! AWESOME! congrats!

yeah yeah its been a little bit since i last blogged. i've gotta get working on that! right now we are currently in washington (again) for the off track and i dont have my computer set up to use yet, so i have to borrow my moms. we are currently living with them and then in sept we will be moving into an apartment until december.

anyway lets see what have we been up to...july 27th-31st we went to Longview for the Rodeback Reunion! (i'll just post a few pictures, check out my facebook to see the rest, too many good ones to choose from!) we played a lot of games, we had our own minute to win it, the day before it started my parents, sis, spencer and my grandpa went to the Ape caves and had a lot of fun. one of they days we went to the park and played a little softball (so excited for this but unfortunately i have discovered that if you dont play for over 3 years, you kinda suck! lol but i loved it anyway) i also was able to see one of my best friends! we've been friends since birth! no joke! and we went to one of the best breakfast places ever, stuffys 2. if you ever go, get "the stuff"!

Currenty spencer is finishing up his internship he has with the columbia basin herald. for the most part he says he likes it.Hes really busy with the babe ruth baseball championship in ephrata right now and next week he has the fair and rodeo to deal with. SUPER busy but at least hes getting his internship over with!spencer at the ape caves!

I'm just trying to survive my kids! lol. thats about all i'm ever doing is taking care of my family, which i love! i love being a mommy and wife! i'm trying to get back on track of the diet i was on before, but it is so hard with kids! i'm going to try it (again) today! wish we luck!
Adyson is getting REpotty trained. let me explain. for a while she was telling us every time she had to go and she would go on the potty, but 2 weeks before we moved back to washington, she decided she was too good for the toilet and reverted back. now shes back on track with a little miss hap every once in a while. Besides the potty training, she is getting very smart! she surprises me every day with how much she know! its crazy how much a kid picks up just from watching people (good and bad!) we are going to start her in a dance class soon, and she is VERY excited! (me too!) Her favorite thing right now is the movie rio. if anyone has extra rio toys from mcdonalds that you dont want, she will love you forever!(for some reason they dont make actual toys!) Harper is growing fast and is so stinkin cute if i do say so myself (and adyson too!) Harper is cooing and smiling like crazy and we're still working on rolling. She is 3 months old and about 11 lbs. she doesn't have a check up this month so dont know the exact measurements. She loves to smile and just watch the happenings around her. She is an awesome baby. hardly cries (unless gassy...then watch out!) She sleeps through the night and has since being born. AMAZING!!!!!!

well thats about all for now. next week is the fair and we are super pumped! i love the fair! and its spencers moms 50th birthday party so lots of family coming in to town!

4th of July fun!

We had an awesome 4th of July here in Idaho. It was our first 4th with just our family. We bought a couple of fireworks and lit them off the day before. Adyson loved it. To start the actual day off we went to the parade here in Rexburg. It was so much fun. Adyson had a blast catching candy with Spencer. Every time we drive by where we sat she says "i got candy with daddy right there!" After the parade we headed on over to Idaho Falls for the festivities there. There wasn't too much to do there so we decided to hit up the mall and the cheap theater ($5 for Spencer and I!!) We watched Adyson's new favorite movie, Rio. At the mall we went to old navy and got 2 onesies and a shirt for spencer for FREE!!! We had gotten a $10 coupon in the mail and I wanted to get a shirt. but i find that this old nave is kinda lacking so I just got the onesies because i fell in love with one of them (pic below). Also there was a buy 2 get one free thing going on so thats who everthing was free! I love when that happens!

After all of that we were very tired and it was only 3! So we headed back to Rexburg for some rest. At around 8 we headed back to Idaho Falls for the biggest fireworks show in Idaho (or thats what i've heard.) It was set to music, which i have never seen/heard before and it was pretty cool. When we got home we were jut in time to see the Rexburg show right from our window!

So on Saturday we had an unexpected trip to the ER!

We were all getting out of the car and Adyson decided to get out head first (arm got caught in her carseat because she wanted her ball) and landed right on the gravel road. She started bleeding so we all got back in and drove straight to the hospital!

Pictures dont really show but she had a little hole/crater in her head. Turned out she was A OK and all they did was clean the hole and send us home. She was acting a little crazy in the hospital but i think it was just all the attention she was getting. Well it was our first trip, but i dont think its going to be the last with this clumsy little girl of ours!

Yesterday, June 5th, we had Harper's blessing! Spencer gave Harper a wonderful blessing! We are so greatful for the family that came! Thanks everyone for everything and for making it a great weekend!

It was SO green and fresh! It was raining so we really didn't get to experience it too much, but it to so beautiful and we will definitely be going back, I kinda want to take a hike up there!

I love my girls. Its kinda weird saying "girls" but i'm quickly getting used to it. So far everything has been going great. the family came over the past weekend to meet little Harper and everyone agrees that she looks a lot like Adyson when she was a baby. Except the fact that she has dark hair and is darker skin (i think). Harper has had a touch of jaundice, but for the most part she does look darker then Adyson. I've been afraid to say this...so not jinx myself, but Harper is such a great sleeper at night!!! Only wakes up at 4 or 5 AM to eat and thats it until about 9-9:30. WAY awesome. Great now i'll be up every hour now that I've said something! Adyson is in love with Harper and is always wanting to hug or kiss her. She is a little rough with her, so we just have to keep telling her to be soft. For some weird reason she loves to pet her head and pat it. Its funny, when Harper starts crying. Adyson will come find us and say "Harper wants you!!" Adyson hasn't really gotten too jealous, and i'm trying to show her that i'm still here and love her, its just i have to take care of Harper. Shes understanding so far!

Well thats about it. Just getting in the swing of being a mom of 2! Things are going great and i hope they stay that way!

WE ARE HOME!

Well we are finally home and i can finally update some more! I actually ended up coming home on monday night and went back for feedings. Well Harper ended up being on the SiPAP saturday, sunday and monday morning and was taken off and just given oxygen. later on monday she decided to take off her oxygen supply herself and proved she could do it. The only thing left that was keeping her in the hospital was the IV she was on, and (luckily?) it went bad so they had to take it out this morning. They were going to have her stay until Wednesday or Thursday but after seeing how well she is doing they gave the go ahead and she came home at about 4 today! she is such a good little baby and adyson is already wanting to hold her ALL the time. we are so excited to be a whole family of FOUR! here are some pics of Harper in the hospital and at home. Harper Makenna King was born very quickly on saturday (may 7th). 6lbs 12oz, 18 1/2 inches long at 8:45 pm. So it was a regular day for us. I was having some pains, but brushed them off thinking it was false labor, because the pain wasnt getting stronger and they werent coming at regular times. We decided to just have a lazy day that day and not go to idaho falls like we were thinking earlier that day. So about 4, 4:30 spencer went to the driving range with my brother and thats when it all came WAY fast. the "pains" started coming way fast and very strong and painful. adyson had no idea what was going on, but oh i did! i started to bleed too so that was a huge sign for me that it was NOT false anymore! so i tried to call spencer, but there wasnt that great of cell phone reception out at the golf course, so i had to just keep calling until i reached him....and crazily started cleaning the house! i know! i was totally going crazy! lol. so after about a half hour or so i finally got a hold of spencer and said "I NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL! GET HOME NOW!" So after that our good friend kailani came and got adyson and spencer got home and in about 2 seconds we were out the door to the hospital (LUCKILY i had packed my hospital bag the night before!!!). the drive was one of the scariest/funniest rides ever. so spencer will NOT speed for anything... he obeys the speed at ALL times (and i kinda dont, lol) well spencer went about 20 over and passed cars just to get to the hospital (and by this time i was having hard core pains!) Well anyway we made it to the hospital and turned out i was dialated to a 4. so i was admitted about 5ish and about 3ish hours later, and about 2 minutes of pushing, Harper was born at 8:45 pm.WAY easier birthing experience then last time!!! I got to hold her for about a minute and spencer took her down to the NICU. When she was coming out, she got some of the fluid in her lungs. She was grunting and having a hard time breathing, so they took her to get it all fixed. That night adyson got to meet her little sister but hasnt been aloud to see her since. Harper has been in the NICU with a SIPAP on. (see pictures.) We havent been able to hold her until today for a couple of minutes and they said tomorrow she will be able to get off the machine to try breathing on her own. Its been hard not to be able to hold her and only be able to pretty much watch her lying there with that crazy head gear on. We really dont know what she looks like. I mean we saw her when she came out, but a baby always looks different after they are out a little bit. Its hard to see the other moms here with their babies and to hear them every once in a while. I wish i could just have her with me! We wish we could hold her and see her but as long as shes getting better, it'll be ok. We still dont know when she will be coming home but i will be out tomorrow night. Sorry about the lack of pictures. We really didnt get any time to take any. She came so fast and was ready to come out to see us! She was due the 18th, but she is considered full term. Hopefully soon we can get pictures of the whole family and pics with mommy and daddy! Anyway shes doing great so far and has been getting better! hopefully we get to take her home soon!

PS HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! I am so greatful for this day! I happened to get my mothers day gifts early. I got a new camera about a week ago (just in time) and a pretty necklace, flowers and best of all Harper! I love my girls and i am so thankful to be their mom! Thank you spencer for all the gifts but best of all thank you for our beautiful girls!

It can be hard at times to be a mother, but i would not change a thing! I am so greatful for my mom too! I know what you went through with me! SORRY! lol Thanks for everything mom!

BEARWORLD!

So on saturday, after coming home from a not so eventful day in Idaho falls, we saw a sign at bearworld saying it was half price and this was the last weekend. when i looked it up online last year i thought it was $25 a person. well we decided to just go for it and go. well we actually paid $15 for all 3 of us! reg $16 a person! and we got 3 more tickets for half off later in the season!

For those of you who dont know...Bearworld is a park where you drive around and the animals are just roaming free. it was really cool. in the first part there were a bunch of deer, elk, a white elk, buffalo, turkeys, mountain goats, and then the second part had TONS of bears (black and grizzly bears). it was crazy! they were all sleeping when we went through but right when we got out they got up and walked around all over! (ok sorry about the quality of the pics, i apparently didnt notice my camera had been switched to a weird color theme so they are all greenish! sorry!)

After driving through, they had a giftshop, free petting zoo and free carnival rides for the kids! Adyson got to pet a baby bear! She also pet some pigs and goats that were in the petting zoo.

But the best part (according to adyson) were the rides! So they had this "you must be this tall to ride" signs and we were headed over to see if she could. well it was right next to the roller coaster ride and they were just starting to load all the little kids on it. well before we knew it, adyson bolted up the stairs, gets in the seat and waits for the lap rail to come down so she could ride. believe me i was frickin scared! i was worried she wouldnt like it and try to get off while it was moving. NOPE she had a blast screaming and laughing! it was crazy. she then went on a couple others all by herself! i guess shes our little dare devil now!

We had so much fun at Bearworld! I recommend going if you havent. hopefully we'll be able to go again before the season is up, but with the baby coming who knows!

Easter 2011!

warning, lots of pictures! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter yesterday! we sure had a fun easter season! i'll explain in pictures! (might be a little random!)

Adyson and I went to the craft store Porters and she was able to make this cute bunny! she loves it!

we got these pretty flowers from spencers parents! they came in a way cute bunny vase. thanks!

couple of days before we dyed eggs. it was an egg speckle kit and our fingers were totally black and stained for a couple days! it was fun though. adyson made the black egg, and of course had black hands to match

of course we did the traditional pillsbury holiday sugar cookies and a little bit earlier we made the rice crispy treat eggs filled with candy for the family before we headed back to moses lake for spring break

and now actual easter! ^i found these pj's for adyson for $3 at walmart and they were perfect for easter! (shes giving herself bunny ears) I gave them to her for Easter Eve.

(spencers, adyson from my mom, adyson from us, mine and spencers from my mom.) spencer and i also got a few new shirts for ourselves! and i bought a receiving blanket that i have had my eye on at gymboree for the new baby. it was on sale $8 reg $20! i can sleep at night now knowing i have it! lol

easter morning! we were spoiled! thanks mom for all the goodies!

later in the morning we had adyson hunt for eggs! she wanted to do it in her easter dress!

and heres a pic of dinner. doesnt do it justice. it was our first time making a big holiday dinner and i think it went pretty well. we had ham, very colorful deviled eggs (used the dyed ones), hawaiian rolls (store bought, heck i cant make that stuff), cottage cheese salad YUM!, and funeral potatoes. Spencer made a impromptu banana cream pie. we didnt have gram crackers so he used teddy grams. it turned out way good!

And then we took some easter pics to round out the day!

Adyson loves her little sister and loves to kiss and hug and feel her move around. Cant believe that this the 2nd to last holiday with just the 3 of us! soon it will be 4! crazy! only about.....3ish weeks left! crazy!

spring break 2011!

so this past week Spencer had spring break and we were able to go home to visit family. i didn't think we would be able to do it, with me being 8 months along, but the doctor said it was ok, if we stopped every 2-3 hours for me to walk around and stuff.

We actually stayed in Missoula both there and back to make the trip a little easier for me and Adyson. The hotel had a pool and spencer "taught" adyson how to swim. now she talks about it all the time and that she can swim and that she wants to get into the fish tank we have and swim with the fish!

so i really didnt take any pictures when we were there, we did take family pics with my family, but they arent ready yet so sorry no pics of that! anyway, the only ones i got were of adyson playing with her cousins. she was SO excited to see family but most of all to see kamaile. they are only about 2 months apart and are pretty much best friends and played together the whole time.

we really didnt do a whole lot while we were there, just relaxed and had a great time with family. we played games (a new favorite of mine, bohnanza a fun bean game), took family pics, i went to a baby shower, spencer went golfing with my fam and lunch with his dad, adyson was sick for a day and we did nothing!, went to dinner with jill, helped a little bit at a charity garage sale....not too much! oh and saw the easter bunny at adysons favorite store, walmart, but she was NOT happy to see the bunny so i had to get in the pic too!! all in all it was a fun, lazy trip. thanks to our family for all the easter gifts and wish the break could have been during easter!

First hair cut!

It finally happened (ok so I finally let it happen!). Adyson got her first hair cut (more like trim lol) today. she did SOOO well and it really looks cute. Spencer has been wanting to do it for a long time, but i just refuse to let it happen. I will admit she did need it to be one lengh, it was a looking a little mullet ish in the back! She was just growing up too fast for me i just couldnt do it until now!

well its getting closer! i just had a doctors appointment yesterday and everything is going great (it was an awesome visit, i saw a different doc and i'm totally sticking with him!). i'm right on track! 31 weeks down 9 to go!!! i'm down to the every 2 weeks visit. this little girl is moving around a TON, pretty much non stop!! Its not really kicking just moving around. some times it feels like shes trying to bust out! the doctors are still going with the 18th of may, but i really dont have any hopes that its then. just whenever! thats about it! havent really had any pregnancy weight gain, maybe 5 lbs max! (thank goodness!) and they are totally fine with that. its really nice because after i have the baby (which with everything placenta, baby, fluid is like 25 lbs) i will weigh less then before i was prego! woo hoo, who can argue with that!

Well readers....remember when i mentioned adysons favorite toy that she HAS to have with her pretty much all the time...well here he is!

This is Grandpa Bear. He used to belong to my dad, but adyson found him and stole it! Hence the name grandpa bear! He has to go almost everywhere with adyson. If she miss placed him in the house, she will walk around calling his name. When we go shopping he has to come in the store with us. she REFUSES to sit in the front of the cart, but she will buckle grandpa bear in the front so hes safe. When she goes to bed she has to have him. One night after she had fallen asleep, i went to take the other stuffed animals off the bed and when i tried to take grandpa bear she (in her sleep) reached out and took him back. Today we were going to get in the car to go pick up spencer and she was looking off at some people visiting the neighbors, she slipped off the curb and fell in a puddle, and gpa bear was in her hand that fell in the water. she didnt get hurt just a little dirty, but she was more concerned about her bear then herself. i had to clean him off with a wipe while we waited for spencer and dried him infront of he heater. She loves this bear A LOT!

Today was Spencer's birthday! We didnt do a whole lot, but had a lot of fun anyway. This weekend we plan to do a little more to celebrate. Maybe a movie and bowling. Spencer had class until 2 today so we just planned on going out to dinner instead of lunch and had left over tacos, which were way good! For dinner Spencer asked to go to famous daves (thanks for coming tristan!). YUM! that place has some good food! We then came home and had one of spencers few favorite cakes (hes not a fan of cake, but he does like some good kinds!) RED VELVET from walmart. yum! i got mini cupcakes too for me and adyson. the cake was small so its all spencers!

lol. Adyson was so excited for daddy's birthday. shes been practicing singing happy birthday to him for about a week and showing him how to blow out the candles.

PS... thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and the gifts! he loves it all!

Valentines Day: Part 3 the actual day!

Happy Valentines Day everyone. Hope you had an awesome day! i sure did! here are LOTS of pictures of our day! (dont forget to check out part 1 and 2)

i got some yummy chocolate from spencer! later in the day, after i picked him up from school he surprised me with a mini rose plant! i love it! adyson and i got spencer a tie and lots of his favorite goodies.

adyson got new toothbrushes, finger paint and some candy (we surprised her with another gift later)

for breakfast we had adysons favorite food....cereal. thanks mom for the heart shaped bowls!

for lunch we went to wingers (spencers favorite) and after we let adyson pic out her surprise, fish! she even named them herself! the white and orange is named fishy and the all orange is called nemo. great names huh!

and of course we made some goodies for a few people. the traditional Pillsbury sugar cookies with the pictures on them, strawberry cupcakes with chocolate frosting, and for just us (more like just me) strawberries dipped in the best chocolate in the world from florences!

And for dinner, we had my favorite food, Lime chicken. SO GOOD! can you see the roses! so cute! and thanks again for the heart shaped plates mom!

all in all , the 3 days of celebration were awesome! i love spencer and adyson so much and i'm glad to call them my valentines! i love you so much! thanks for a wonderful day! (or should i say days!)

Valentines Day: Part 2 Dinner/Dance

Well on friday spencer and i had our own valentines day. Spencer heard about a Valentines Couples Dance the school was putting on called a Night in Paris and ask if i wanted to go. of course! it sounded like fun! They offered dinner before hand which was kinda good. Chicken Kiev, roasted potatoes, steamed veggies, really good rolls and apple walnut salad with poppy seed dressing. It was really good! So about the dinning arrangements... Well spencer and i both thought it was going to be like a couples kind of thing, ya know your own table and all. Well it wasn't. we were sitting right next to people we didnt know and one poor couple were on a first date kinda thing. It was funny to see how they interacted. After dinner the dance started. It was a semi formal/formal dance and it was fun to see all the couples come in prom attire. Most of the couples were not married and it was kind of fun to see them all. it reminded me of when spencer and i were dating and fell in love: ) It was really fun to dance with spencer, i've never really been to a dance with him! We really didnt dance too much, because my feet and hip were hurting really bad (i felt like a gma, lol) I had so much fun, even though it was kinda unplanned on the schools part. The dance kinda had the stake dance feel to it, but oh well, i had so much fun. It was kinda corny, but a good kind. I would totally do it again! It was one of the best (pre)valentines day i've had! Thanks spencer! I loved it!

Valentines Day: Part 1 Bowling!

I know i know, a valentines day post already?? Well, Spencer and I always seem to celebrate it early, because here in Rexburg, EVERYTHING is going to be packed on the day of love and there are going to be about zero people wanting to babysit. So we decided to have our family v-day celebration early. (our celebration is on the 11th! spencer is taking me to dinner and dancing up on campus! its called A Night In Paris!). We'll have a little celebration on the actual day....maybe i convince spencer to do this so i can have 3 days of fun! lol!!!

So for family v-day we decided to take adyson bowling for the very first time to Fat Cats. SHE LOVED IT! they had black lights and music going and she just danced the whole time and entertained everyone there (see videos!). They even had little shoes just her size. They were so cute i had to get a picture of them! They also have a arcade there and we decided to play a few rounds of skeeball. After bowling and games we went to Applebees for dinner (thanks mom and dad for the giftcard and the goodie box!!) It was an awesome time and i hope we can do it again next year!

family/prego update

So I know I havent really blogged about the whole family in a little bit so here it goes....

Lets start with Adyson! Well, what can I say, shes just my crazy, beautiful goofball. She always has new words to say every day. Her (or my) current favorite words/phrases are "are you kidding me? raise the roof, yes i do!, thumbs up,.....keep in mind that they are not spoken very clearly. Shes doing alright with counting and with colors.....well her favorite color is blue and so everything she sees is called blue. She always has the random names for her "babies" (any stuffed animal/doll). She will bring me a towel and ask me to wrap them up so she can rock them to sleep. Her favorite by far is Grandpa Bear. She stole it from my dad. Its a beanie baby bear that has a tie on that says #1 dad on it. gave it to him for a bday a while ago. I really dont know why she loves it so much. Her biggest accomplishment is that she is pacifier less!!!!! It was hard and still is, but i am so glad its gone! We're trying to work on getting her to fall asleep in her own bed and STAY there. Going to bed is kinda easy but when she wakes up in the middle of the night she comes and steals my bed! I'm so tired of it! literally!

Spencer is currently busy with school. He is doing great with his classes and i'm sure his favorite class is the photography class. He has some pretty good pictures hes taken so far, but he wont let me share them! (he does have to have a blog for the class.....hint hint).

and now its my turn..... Well as i said in an earlier post, i really didnt look pregnant and the baby was sitting really low. Well i think this little girl was listening to me, because she has definitely moved around a lot and my belly has shot out! I am about 6 months now....i think. LOL its hard to keep track when there is no positive due date. I have about 3 dates they have given me (14th,18th, or 21st of may). We pretty much go with the 18th.

(ok sorry about my look. keep in mind i am prego, tired, and dealing with a 2 yr old! lol)

Today I had my first doctors visit in Rexburg. My info wasn't sent over like it should have been from Moses Lake, and since we didnt know what we were having, the doc said we could get an ultrasound to see whats going on. about 13 weeks....kinda old pic!

So I just relaized that i really have been lacking on the baby update!

I'm about 22 ish weeks along. The doctor (who i love and miss!) I had in Moses Lake was still trying to figure out how far along I actually am, we'll just say 22-23 weeks. What I know and have told her isn't adding up with the ultrasounds! I've had 3 so far! But hey I get to see the little peanut. We still don't know what we are having....just like with Adyson and her hand! Something was in the way this last ultrasound I had! This time it was the cord instead of a hand! The last date I was told the due date was May 14th, but heck with the iffy-ness (is that a word) of how far along I actually am, i'm just saying sometime in May. We should be getting another ultrasound because the last one they weren't able to see and measure everything.

Well, i'm doing ok. My back hurts WAY more this time around! Sleep is horrible. Spencer and I don't remember me sleeping this bad last time. From the ultrasound, we've found out that the baby LOVES to sit on my bladder. Hopefully the baby will be noticing that theres a whole other section to its woom!Thats where I am feeling most of the kicking. Spencer has been able to feel the kicks every once in a while, and I think that makes it more real for him. Adyson loves to give my belly kisses. I dont know if she thinks that my belly is a baby or if there is a baby actually in my belly. Its really cute and she always sees babies at the store and stares and tells me theres a baby over there. I always ask her if she wants one or wants to hold it and she gets really excited. I have to tell her to wait until may. Thats about it. still waiting to see what we are having!

PS...Sorry but thats the only pic I have! The last ultrasound pics are horrible and you cant see anything! And sorry no pics of me, i honestly dont look pregnant, and im not just saying that. I really dont look pregnant, i just look like i have a flabby gut! soon (i hope) i will look like it! and sorry if my posts are boring or what not, this is pretty much my journal so i've gotta write something down!

Christmas post (a little late) and a Random Video!

Well sorry its taken me this long to blog about Christmas! I've just been super busy with packing, unpacking, and finding a place for all of our junk! Today i'm taking a break!

Christmas this year was a lot of fun. Adyson actually had an idea of what was going on. As Spencer has mentioned before, Adyson wanted Frosty to come instead of Santa. My mom bought the movie for the granddaughters to watch and Adyson got hooked. She even has a frosty shirt!

Well let me explain the few pics I have (i'll need to steal some from family some time).

When I was younger my mom would always buy the pillsburry cookies with the pictures on them for almost every holiday and i would always make them. Well know its kind of a tradition to make them and now Adyson is carrying it on. She loves it! Of course we had to get the snowman ones!

The next two are of Adyson opening her Christmas Eve gift. (my fam opens one gift on C. Eve). She got Cinderella and the Prince. She was dancing with them in the pic (and still does). Thanks Kamaile and Kalei!

And the last pic and video are of Adyson's new favorite hiding spot in the apt. Its under the bathroom sink. While my parents were here she discovered it and scared my mom half to death!

Our New Apartment (Plus More)

Many things happened In the month of December. Spencer went the Eastern Eagles play off game for Josh's 29th Birthday. They Won!

Christmas was amazing!(pictures to come) We got everyone what they wanted, and we loved the gifts we were given too! and Adyson loved to open presents! She didnt want santa to come so Frosty delivered her gifts. A few days after christmas, we moved back to Rexburg (hopefully for the last time! We love our place. A little ghetto, yes, but big. 3 bedrooms. We bought some couches and we love them too. School starts on Wednesday. Should be fun!

so a while ago, around the 4th, we went and got a Christmas tree for my parents house (our current residence....until the 28th!!!! woo hoo, here we come rexburg!) Christmas is feeling so exciting this year because Adyson actually has an idea as to whats going on! She loved to decorate the tree and loves to look for her presents under the tree. I think she is going to love Christmas like me when shes older! Heck I think she loves it now!

Well this Thanksgiving (should be considered Christmas with all this snow!) was a pretty mellow one. We didn't have to rush to any dinners this year, which was a huge relief, thanks to our families for picking perfect times for the feasts! We had lots of good food and great family time! After all the eating, my family wanted to go to the movies to take the grand daughters to Tangled. If you know me, I am anti movie theater. Its WAY too expensive! (too bad I married a movie fanatic!) Anyway, I decided to give in to my stubbornness and we took Adyson to her very first time at the movies. She loved it and stayed awake for the whole thing!

Well, all in all we had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am so grateful for my husband and daughter and all of my other family and the great time we had together! Now i just can't wait for Christmas!!!

Pumpkin Patch 2010

Yesterday we went on the annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Spencer found out the day before we went that he had to work so he was unable to go. Sad day, but he got a pumpkin too. It was fun as usual. They had a petting zoo, hay pyramid with a tunnel in it, a hay ride out to the pumpkins, and lots of other things that were way too expensive. Rodeback Family Reunion 2010

This years reunion was very fun and FULL of excitement! It started off with everyone starting to get what seemed to be the flu, and it is now ending its rounds with the last of the remaining family (thats about 60-70 people!) besides the pukes, we had a lot of fun! we went to the pool,went to the park, played volleyball and had a wii tournament at the church, ... loads of fun! i dont have the best of pictures so i'm using ones other people took. thanks!! we just got a new addition to the fam that is a wonderful photographer. my uncle shawns wife...shawn!

About 60ish people made it to the reunion out of about 80.

we look like we're praying....but its a game where you hold hands, with your eyes closed and silent. the person at the front waits for my gma to flip a coin. heads means you can squeeze the persons hand, and then the squeeze is sent down the row. the last person has to grab for a rag on a chair. whoever is fastest wins and moves up a chair. first to get rotated all the way back the beginning person wins! it was WAY FUN!

and this was pretty much the ending of ours reunion. lets me explain.... when i was younger, and around Christmas, all the family would get together at my grandparents house. we would open gifts in the little family room, (with my huge family it was pretty crowded). after gifts, my grandpa would grab a huge bag of peanut m&ms and chuck them at us so we could catch them in our hands or in cups. over the years most of the family hasn't been able to make it to longview for the holiday, so during the reunion we brought it back. i dont remember if we did it last year, but i know from now on we will be doing it every year. its painful, but so much fun to see everyone dash for m&ms and i think my grandparents love to hits us with them! lol. my family is a little different then most but i love them! see ya next year!

well i have been lacking in updating the blog! so last week.... June 26-july 5, i went with gwen stoker back home to moses lake. it was tons of fun! (spencer even came to surprise me for the 4th!)

first it started off with adyson splitting her chin open and biting both sides if her tongue...it wasnt too bad, but it was her first major injury

later in the week we went slip and sliding with my sis crystal and her girls and mark butterfield and his boys

arent they cute!

kalei loved dumping water over adyson....i think it might be payback for adyson bugging her all the time trying to smoother her with hugs! lol.

my grandma and grandpa rodeback came into town! if adyson could talk (well) she would prob say that these are some of her favorite people!

and now, we are just soaking up some family alone time before we move back home. we are doing what we did last year, moving back for the off track, but this time we have sold our contract and we got a storage. lots of packing and thats prob why you wont be hearing too much from us! busy busy busy! especially when adyson decided to unpack the stuff you just boxed up!!!!!

So I have heard this phrase about a 1000 times in church...it goes something like this....A goal not written down is just a wish. Well, here I am, writing it down so I make it an actual goal and everyone knows that I am doing it so you can all kick my butt into gear!

So if anyone has known me for a long time they know that weight has been a huge factor in my life. I have always been on the plumper side. There was one time in my life that I lost a lot of weight and that was when I came here to Rexburg for school, way back in 2007. I walked everyday and hardly ate due to the crap load of homework I would always had. It not that I didnt eat, its that I just didn't have the time to eat as much as I did.I LOVE FOOD! I mean I really love food! and food just loves me right back with giving me weight!

When I got pregnant, weight just piled on. It never went away after giving birth either. And now, I am a little under the heaviest I've ever been in my life. I have lost about 13 lbs since having Adyson over a year and a half ago (with the help of Jill Baker being my workout buddy, but she moved back home to Moses Lake!), but that really doesnt make a dent in how I look. I have decided to really crack down on this whole diet thing! My goal is 20 lbs. I know thats not too much, but its just a starting goal. I'm just tired of trying to hide my weight behind baggy shirts and light jackets(like the pic of me in the purple up above) . I really want to get down to what I looked like in these pics.....

I know I can do it! Especially with Spencer helping me and working out right along side me! I'm going to print off some pics and post them around the house, just so i have something to work for. I do have Adyson and Spencer helping me and giving me motivation, but this is just a little extra kick in the pants to get going! I'm currently on the Slim Fast diet plan, and my workouts are going to be long walks, like up the beast of a hill to campus with Spencer and to go to the gym and/or a workout video. Wish me luck!

Moses Lake!

well this past week spencer and i had the chance to go home to moses lake, wa and have a wonderful vacation! heres all that we did!!!

first we went to spring fest! its a fun festival that our town does. theres lots of food to buy, booths to visit, lots of rides to ride, contests, and my favorite part, the moonlight parade!

we visited my gma vasquez, aunt jenni, and cavern. my sis and i made tamales with gma.

yum!!! i ate a LOT! they were so good!

my gma and gpa rodeback came to town and they always want some chicos pizza!

spencer and i had the opportunity to go to brad and suzi grants wedding in tri cities.

first wedding we have been to in the temple since our own(2 1/2 yrs ago!). it was amazing!

we also got to do a free kids craft at the museum down town!

we also got a little wet in the fountains by the post office!

and after all that..... we had a long ride home!

it was a AWESOME time home. we saw moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters, and even the great grandparents! we had a very fun time and are so greatful for the chance to go home!

my attempts at being crafty/stats

so i haven't really thought of anything to blog. and well i guess i've been wanting to share a craft that i recently did.

so when i was pregnant with adyson in the last month or two, i was put on bedrest (a little before that i had lost my job so i really had nothing to do) anyway, my mom decided to by me some crafts to do. i've tried my hand at decoupage a couple of times before and i kinda liked it. so my mom bought me frames and boxes to keep me busy. after i had adyson and got into the swing of being a mom, i started up my crafts again. i'm currenty working on a crown shaped plaque that my mom-in-law bought me. it took me a little bit to think of what i wanted to do with it, but i am almost finished now... pic to come later....

this is one of my favorites frames. its not the whole "ripped paper thing" but i really like it.

here is my latest project that i've finished. my mom just bought me a plain box from walmart and i really didn't know what to do with it. adyson's crayons were beginning to get everywhere so i decided to make her a crayon box. all i did is take pretty much all the scraps of paper i have ever used. you just spread some glue (i use elmers, its cheaper) and then stick it to the box. then i usually spread elmers over the entire thing when i'm done to make it shiny and somewhat seal the box. but since we are dealing with a child here and elmers is washable, i took tacky glue and spread it all over it. and here is the finished product. i really like it and thought it was a cool idea. so i wanted to share it! (if you want more pics just ask, i'll post more of the sides and stuff)

i do like to digi scrap too, but thats for another post : )

adyson turned 18 months old on the 10th of this month (i know i'm kinda behind.) here are her stats!

So folks....I got a hair cut...and not just any hair cut... My very good friend, Gwen Stoker is currently attending the Evan's hair school. I was her very first cut (besides her cutting hair on Miss Kim, her mannequin. heres what it looks like....

This pic doesn't really show how good it is! I have very fine hair, so it goes limp really quick. Trust me i tried to pump it up, but to no avail. It looked really good right after Gwen was done. My hair stylist Gwen gave me a slight a-line cut with layers. I LOVE IT! Awesome job!! I will definitely take more pics and return to her for more cuts and even colors and what else she needs me for!! I will totally be your guinea pig!

well this past weekend we went to utah for reece bakers wedding. he didn't know we were going to be at the temple waiting for him to get out, and he was very surprised to see spencer. we wanted to go in to the wedding, but when a baker gets married everyone comes and we didn't want to take up any space. they are a great couple. the luncheon and reception were great! it gave us a chance to remember our own wedding and what a great and wonderful day it was! it was a great weekend. we also went shopping!!! spencer even found me a great british store!!! of course i went kinda crazy! here are some pics from this weekend. just some temple sq pics and some other stuff where i'm trying out my artistic skills....lol. so tonight i have been asked to the fhe dance.

yesterday i found a note that started me on a mini scavenger hunt around the apt. at the end was a note saying, will you go to the fhe dance with me? and then 3 boxes to follow: yes, no, and heck no. so i sent spencer on a mini scavenger hunt with the answer yes. spencer later told me that it was to make up for high school and that he never asked me to a dance. so tonight people, spencer and i are going to dress up and have a dance in our living room. boutonnière and all (lol with some fake flowers we have lying around.)

so folks, i am very excited. it may sound very corny, but it is one of the cutest things spencer has ever done. we will be taking pictures dont you worry! i'll post them tomorrow!

finding things to do....

yesterday was the start of spencer's "weekend" so he had asked me to plan something fun. i'm also trying to find more things for adyson to experience and learn from. well, since it being rexburg, i had to find something inside. well i went to rexburg.org to find about some of the museums i've heard about around here. i found the teton dam flood and childrens museum. it was ok, gave us something to do. it was 4 bucks for all of us so i really cant complain. there were lots of things to look at, like old dresses, pictures, a 20 min movie about the flood, and such. the things that they have in there are kinda cool to look at. its not all about the big flood. there was one thing that adyson loved...and even went under the ropes to get! a 75 yr old baby doll carriage and a 45 yr old doll! i had to jump the ropes to get her and put the doll back while spencer distracted the coordinator! the childrens part was ok. there were pictures to color, animal masks to make, a big house stairs thing to climb on and toys to play with. heck i was bored in there, but adyson loved it. the theme was farm animals and next month is plants. if you're bored and looking for something to do inside, go do this. its in the tabernacle basement. gave us something to do so we dont go crazy from sitting in the apt all day!!!

so yesterday we decided to take adyson to the zoo. well more take me, i love animals... last time we took adyson she was around 6 months old and sat there like a bump on a log. this time it was very fun! adyson loved feeding the ducks and pelicans, seeing the sloth bear, petting a baby goat...which tried to eat our clothes... seeing the crazy monkeys and she esp loved seeing the lions and tiger. it was a very fun day and i am so excited to go back when everything is out (some things were still inside due to the weather still being slightly cold). we are planning on becoming members....i think for my sake! well anyway, i posted most of this pics on facebook, but for those of you who dont use it, here are the pics for those of you! enjoy

Easter! (and a bonus video!)

so easter was fun this year. right before easter my mom and i took a psanky (sp) (russian/ukrainian egg painting) class. it was really fun, expensive but fun. its a process where you take wax and special dyes and make designs on the egg. then after you are all done you melt the wax off. i know that descripton doesnt really explain what it is, and theres more to it....sorry, its a long process!

anyway....so i've been here in moses lake since the 19th. spencer stayed behind to finish up classes and so we were going to be apart for easter.....that is until spencer came home to surprise us! so he was with us the whole weekend! on saturday we went to get a picture with the easter bunny (which adyson did not like and had to have kalei sit with her) and then headed to quincy lakes to go with crystal and josh to the Tolly family easter egg hunt! (josh's fam). it was really fun and they go ALL out! candy was everywhere and adyson made $11!! that night we dyed eggs with my fam and i must say that we are a very talented bunch!

sunday was easter and due to the fact that it was conference, we didnt get a picture in easter clothes. oh well, we'll get some on monday at sears with my fam. anywho... we had a little easter egg hunt for the girls in my parents back yard and had yummy easter lunch. after wards we headed to the kings to have dinner and adyson had another fun easter egg hunt. we spent the rest of the day there spending time with family... and me being a spaz i totally didnt get ANY pictures when we were out there! i know that cathy got some, so could i please get some! lol anyway it was a really great easter and thank you everyone for the easter gifts!

so i got this cool new toy for easter from my mom and dad. i know, easter isnt til tomorrow, but my fam sometimes cant wait! also.....i know this is a kids screen printing kit, but the one i want (yudu) is 300 bucks!! $15 is WAY better. and this is cool!

i've been testing out plain shirts that adyson has. this is my second shirt that i've done. still learning. the paint bleed, i gotta work on that.

this is the first one i have finished. LOVE IT!!! i think i might add some green hawaiian flowers if i find a stencil.

so this year i am trying to make an effort to celebrate every holiday. i love holidays and last year i was lacking on the cheer. so i've decided that i will decorate the door (humble decorations,lol) and if the holiday allows, dress up. we all wore green today, even adyson. and she looks so cute in the this sweater that my sis got her. well happy green day...next will be easter!

so spencer and i already got our gifts for valentines day, sometimes we just cant wait. i still have a little gift for spencer and a card for the actual day, but anyway let me tell you about mine!

so i kind of got 2 gifts this year. one is a hair cut and pedicure from the paul mitchel academy. the other is.....heres the story...

so i got a call the other day from kay jewelers. since we are special members (we got a very nice necklace for my mom and became members so we could get a discount...) anyway, they called and told me about a very sepcial offer were i could get a diamond ring for $20, reg $85!!!! so thats what we did yesterday! tristan, my brother, had his bday yesterday so we took him out to eat....after tryin to go to his favorite restraunt, finding out the wait was an hour, then trying to go to sizzler, and ending up at red robin. after the meal we went to the mall. and here is my real ring! my first real diamond ring.it is now my wedding ring!(i love that i get to have inexpensive rings and get to change up the style every once and a while. its the best) i do but i dont like it. theres a couple things i would change about it...but hey its a $20 diamond ring! i like it....and its growing on me more and more, but i am so happy. its made out of sterling silver and has about 7 little diamonds. thank you so much spencer for my ring! happy valentines day to me!

so adyson learns things VERY fast. here is a list of some of the things she does. (for my sake, i'm pretty sure i wont remember this in 10 years, i have a horrible memory!!!)

-adyson love to help me sweep. we acquired a new broom from the subletters we had last year, and it was actually broken, so we made it a little bit shorter and made it "adyson" size. whenever i sweep she has to get her broom too and help. i remember seeing a picture of me when i was her age doing the exact same thing, so i'm pretty sure she gets it from me. wish i had the pic with me

-adyson knows how to use the remote to the tv, and also the buttons on the tv. she can turn it on, turn it up, and change the channel. she doesnt really know what shes changing it to, she just does it. its really funny/annoying because she will shut the tv off when we are playing wii and she will turn around and laugh. she also knows how to use the wii remotes.

-adyson is my own personal maid. when its time to change her, she will go get a diaper, sometimes get me the wipes, and then after spencer or i are done, she will take the diaper to the trash. sometimes she takes stuff thats not trash, like a picture frame that i noticed was missing one day.... found it under some trash in the garbage.

- adyson talks all the time. she says.....yes or "yeah", no, mom, dad, grandma/pa, auntie, uncle, amber, hi, bye, and many more words. the newest word is Jesus! and she also makes many animal sounds, her favorites are a lion and a dog.

- our little girl gives hugs (some what bear hugs), kisses, blows kisses, waves, tickles, writes with a pen (kinda), opens a water bottle, reads books (she loves books), dances ("shake it"), trys to jump, wipes her hands and face, shows us how old she is, points to her nose and such, points to her family in pictures, know where the picture of jesus is in her room, folds her arms and says amen during prayer...

adyson is such a fast learner! we are currently working on her ABC's and some first word flash cards. we love her so much and i hope that when she askes me about when she was little, that i'll remember that i wrote this for that very purpose! hope you liked hearing this too!

so here i am, trying to update on all the things that have happened lately. kinda long, but hope you like it!

so this isn't the greatest video, but i did say i was going to post one of adyson walking. she kinda gets a little mad at the end, because she always wants to get of the sidewalk so she can get in the car. anyway, it was kind of her first time playing in the snow, so i had to get pics. last year she was too young, so i was very excited to get her in the snow, plus we have been cooped up in the apt all the time, because its too cold most days.

well not a whole lot has been going on here in rexburg. yesterday adyson went to her very first dentist visit!(i forgot to get pictures!! we're going to take some with her and her toothbrush later) she was doing really well in the beginning, she even walked up to the hygienist and let her pick her up! big step for adyson....but after the dentist came in to look at her teeth it was all over with. she cried her eyes out! but after she got her toy she was fine the rest of the day. i wish i could say the same thing for the toy.

story # 1

you see, adyson's favorite things/toys are the toilet, plunger and scrubber, well pretty much the bathroom. nasty i know, we have to remember to shut the door all the time or we'll hear her splashing in the toilet. anyway, we forgot to shut the door after we got home from the deentist and after a little while i couldnt hear adyson. then it got really quiet and all we could hear is splashing. yep... you guessed it, she was playing with her toy in the toilet. needless to say i got something to fish it out and to the trash it went. funny thing is, is thats not the only bathroom story i have.

story # 2

so adyson woke up really early one morning (very rare) and so i just took her out of her crib and let her play with some toys in our bedroom. i dosed off a little bit, knowing that she was fine. the next thing i know is that i am getting woken up with a plunger to the face. NASTY!!! we forgot to shut the door again! i dont know what i am going to do with her!

so we've been trying to get her to go to bed on her own...its actually been going a lot better since we started, but some times, she stands up in the crib crying for us. usually she gets way tired and lays down, but this time, she fell asleep standing up and this is what i found when i went to check on her after a while of it being silent. oh i love my little girl. never a dull moment!

so i've been trying to find something to post on here so i can stop the music that plays on one of my other posts, so i found this. we got a wii from spencers brother and our favorite game (pretty much our only game) is mario cart. adyson has been watching us play some times and she has picked up on how to drive.when she wants to play she will bring the wheels to us. so cute! so heres a cute video of spencer and adyson playing. i wanted to post one of her walking, but eh, the ones i have are pretty dark, i need to get more with some better lighting. anyway enjoy!

back to the burg

well folks, we are back in the very cold rexburg. we had a wonderful time in moses lake, esp this christmas season! (my favorite season!) we got lots of wonderful gifts that we are soooooo greatful for!! thanks everyone! adyson and i had a girls night out at jill bakers house and adyson loved it! she was especially attached to her auntie carolyn! on the 28 we headed back to the good ole iceburg, with a full car! no joke it was full, adyson had to be pulled from the back seat to the front seat to be taken out!

we are currently working on cleaning and unpacking the bajillion things we have. seriously,how much can 2 people and a baby have!!!!??? its like a never ending pile of stuff! i will get it all put away some day! i must! its hard when i unpack, making everything nice in tidy in its place and adyzilla comes by and makes it look like a tornado came by. but all i can try to do is laugh, take a deep breath, and come back to it later.

well thats about all for now. i got to get back to cleaning, my parents are coming! my bro is going to start school here too!

oh i almost forgot! adyson is walking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! finally! it happened on the 23!!!

TWO YEARS!!

two years ago today spencer and i got married in the Portland, OR temple!!! crazy! we've been through so much
we had a baby,we have a new car (rip charlie, welcome to the fam colby), went to rexburg, came back and are headed back again on the 28th, and many many more things!
its amazing, it feels like so much more time has gone by. i love spencer so much and i love our little family! i am so greatful spencer took a chance and fell in love with me. : ) my life is complete with him....and adyson...and maybe in a year or two some more kiddos to grace our lives.

I LOVE YOU SPENCER TODD KING!!! best decision EVER to marry you!

another update

well i know its been a while (kinda) since i've posted a blog about adyson. so here it is. she is doing great! well not this past weekend. shes been really sick. i dont really know what it is, but she seems to be doing better and the fever shes had has gone away for now. during the first sicky day i pulled her mattress out in the living room and she became a zombie, just laying there watching tv and dozing off. shes gotten a little better today, so hopefully she will be back to her wild self by tomorrow. as you all know she turned one last month! crazy! we took one year old pics (well morgan did and they are amazing. i'm working on adding them to facebook)... she has taken a few solo steps, but no walking yet. shes getting so close and hopefully she walks for the family before we leave. speaking of leaving!!!! we are planning on leaving back to rexburg the week right after christams! we are very excited to go back and have our own place again. we love spending time with family, but we miss our own family life.

i personally am way excited for christmas! i cant wait til my parents get a tree so i can take it over and decorate it! we've gotten all the gifts done and i am so excited for the holiday!!!

well as is being the day of thanks i think i will list a few things i am thankful for...in no particular order...

i'm thank ful for my family! spencer and adyson as well as the rest of them! my whole entire family! and all of my friends! you are all like family to me! i'm thankful that my friends (and family too) have been there for me for everything! you've been happy with me, cried with me, and laughed until you almost wet your pants with me! thanks for being there! wish i could be with you all!! love you!

i'm thankful for the gospel in my life! for the scriptures, prophets, the temples, esp the portland temple, where spencer and i were sealed for time and all eternity! also, for everything the church does and teaches. it truely is the true church!

i'm thankful for creativity! this last saturday i was able to go to super saturday and create a cute magnet board and a cute note pad cover! my sister got me addicted to digi scrapping and i am totally thankful for that! i also love to see others creations, with paintings, picture taking, making food....everything!

i am thankful for forgiveness! i know i can be a bear sometimes and spencer always forgives me for it! : )

i am thankful for jobs and the money they provide for my family to live and prosper (as much as a some what new family can get, lol)

i'm thankful for myself.....random? kinda... there a lot of things i would love to change about myself (cough..weight) but i am truely thankful for myself. i'm unique. theres no one like me. i am thankful for my deep brown eyes, my tiny hands, my weird loud laugh, everything! (well mostly)

well i guess i can just say that i'm thankful for everything!!!!

today (well at 11:46 PM) adyson turned 1!!!!!!!!!! i can not believe it! she has grown so fast and has become such a character! today she started dancing. shes has been doing it for a while, but today she did a full on hip shake. it is so cute. she is talking so much more and learning to say words! (well i think thats what she is doing, lol) she has 7 teeth! no walking yet, i'm crossing my fingers and hoping it happens soon! we had a party on saturday, and yesterday adyson and i drove to moscow to be with daddy for her birthday! so much fun! we went to lunch and the people were so inlove with adyson that when they learned it was her bday they gave her a little ice cream sundae!

well on oct 29th we had the 3rd annual family pumpkin carving party! we started out with 3 pumpkins to carve, but i had picked out a green one and no one knew that they go fast! my whole hand could go right in it, it was nasty, so i just used adysons white one we got her. i carved some bats with a moon and spencer did a fantastic job carving adysons face! soooo awesome!
halloween this year was a lot of fun! the theme was cinderella! i worked very hard on spencers costume and i think it turned out way good! i even made the medals! he was prince charming, i was the fairy godmother and adyson was cinderella!

and today (nov 1st) i turned 22!!! eh i feel a little old....esp with adyson wearing me out all the time!

and crystal always likes to experiment, so i had her make me these cupcakes for my gift. i think they turned out way cute!

her bday party is this saturday! crazy! shes not exactly one, but i dont think shes going to notice. its at the holiday inn express and suits (accross from mc donalds). its at 4pm and anyone is welcome to come. just let me know. there will be some snacks and of course cake! its kinda just a get together, cut the cake kinda thing and you are all welcome to come and mingle!

so everyone, we are still alive and kickin. our little family has been very busy. i got a job at Lins Restaurant about a month ago and things are going alright. i work 2 hours every mon and wed, and about 4 on tue and thurs. its nice, i get lots of tips : ) and i sweat my butt off, so hopefully that means weightloss! i'm crossing my fingers!

adyson is going up SOOO fast. she is 11 months old and i am counting down the days until the big 01 is here! (bday~nov 10th) i am currenty in the process (with speners help too) on planning her bday party/get together. its november 7th! princess theme! anyone is welcome to come, i'll post info when it gets closer!

spencer is still working hard the days hes in moscow. he sacrifices so much for us! adyson and i are truly greatful! we love to have him home for those couple days a week though! spencer is also hard at work at watching and catching up on his favorite tv shows, i would list them....but there are literally over 20 shows! hes a movie/tv show freak! but we still love him!

well halloween is coming up and you better believe that my family is going to dress up!! spencer is prince charming, adyson is cinderella and me....i think the fairy godmother?? lol cant decide on what to be from cinderella. tomorrow is the traditional trip to the pumpkin patch (one of very many traditions)! adysons first time!!! we are very excited! we are going to the one thats right outside tri cities... i think its called country mercantile. anyway, we are VERY excited to go pick out pumpkins!!!!

its halloween season...yes its only sept 16th...but you cant walk into walmart without seeing all the displays of candy, costumes and decorations. halloween is kinda a big deal in my family. now is the time we start planning our costumes (well besides crystal shes been thinking about it since the days after halloween of last year), start picking out what we are going to carve on our pumpkins at the annual carving party, find out were we put the decorations from last year....... but for me with the deciding part....its so hard!!!

i cant think of anything i want to do. this year is adysons 1st halloween and i want to do a family theme, but everything people have said so far just doesnt sound like fun. dont get me wrong they are great ideas,but it just doesnt have that excitement factor. so people....i need ideas!!! please give me anything and as many ideas as you have! ask your friends! give me ideas! i need them!

time for an update

i know its been a little while but hey, i've moved states! anyway, we(adyson and i) are safe and sound in good ole moses lake. spencer left today for moscow, id to work for his dad and hes doing pretty good as well. its hard to be away from him but its only for a couple of days and then hes back with us for a couple of days. its a crazy life we have going for us right now, but its not forever!!!

well all i'm doing right now is just getting the room together that adyson and i are in (my old room at my parents house). its cramped quarters, but it will do. all we have to do is sleep in it!

well about adyson....she still is only army crawling, she is too lazy to experiment anything else! i hate to say it, but shes just like her mommy when it comes to that! she has however started to pull herself up and stand next to just about EVERYTHING!!! its kinda scary! not everything is stable for her. she currently loves to use her cousin kaleis rocking chair! dah! makes me nervous that shes going to lose her grip and knock herself out on the chair! shes also a little daredevil!!! my parents house has stairs, and she just bolts right for them when she sees them. she doesnt care that she would fall down about 13 steps! she also likes to head for

the end of the bed when shes up on one. oh adyson got a little baby doll....she LOVES it. she gives it kisses all the time....and then she bangs it on the floor.....we're still working on the "be soft" stuff....oh and she is currently in love with cherrios thanks to auntie laska! lol! she loves them and would eat a whole bag if i let her! she also has 3 teeth coming in all at once! all on the top, the two front ones and a side one. fun stuff for me!!!!

um thats about it. kinda random i know! sorry!!! but thats how i am! : )

ps...i also got a hair cut! i have bangs! ya know the ones that are swept to the side....i thought i would go for a change! doesnt look that different! sorry the pic doesnt really show it, and i kinda looked dazed and adyson looks like shes going to attack...i'll get a better one soon! with all 3 of us in it!!!!! lol dont have many of those!

well a lot is going on in our life and its been hard for me to find time.....ok i'm liar, i've just been putting off posting a new blog because it usually takes forever to upload pics....anyway a lot has been going on for us....

first off we went to the madison county fair last week. so.....all of you Grant County Fair lovers, this is NOT the fair for you!!! it was one of the smallest fairs i have been to...EVER.....and i've been to the one in othello....anyway, it was a very modest fair, it had a couple dessert booths and a couple of groups selling hotdogs and hamburgers, but thats about it. oh there were some rides there too. the best part about the fair was that it was FREE!! oh and the other best part.... adyson got her very first face painting! she sat so still! it even has glitter on it!

and she pet her very first fair animal, a cute little donkey!

well thats about all we have done and i guess i cant drag this out any longer i bet everyone is wondering our news......well......we are moving back home to moses lake!!! sort of.... we are subletting our apt out to a nice couple from provo from sept to dec. were leaving all of our stuff here and just "moving" back for the fall semester. spencer is off track and his job with the school will be ending soon. Darrell (spencers dad) owns the Sears store in moscow id and spencer will be working there, while adyson and i live with my parents. we are so excited to be home for all holidays and not have to drive home for all of them. and adyson and i get to celebrate our birthdays with everyone! it will be adysons 1st bday!! we just made the deal with the couple a day or two ago and nextweekend we will be moving back to moses lake. one week to get everything packed and ready to go for the new couple! the day is set for aug 29th! they will be using our dishes, couches, bed and such, we're just moving all of our important stuff into adysons room. we are every excited to be saving money (550 a month for rent!) and earning money at the same time, and to be with family! kinda nervous, but very excited!

reunion!

so i dont have the greatest pics, my mom is waiting to get pics from everyone and then is going to send me a cd later, so i'll post better ones later.

well this past week (6th,7th,8th) was the Rodeback Reunion in Longview, Wa!! SOOOOO much fun! the first night we just kinda hung out, has great food, a little karaoke, tye dyed some shirts and had a pinata(earlier that day a couple of my cousins and i decorated the pinata)! the next day we had brunch at the church (well we had to, theres a LOT of us) and after that we ate we headed to raineer to play in the pool!!! towards the end of the time we all got together and put those foam mats all in a row and had people run accross and try and make a basket in a hoop they had! so much fun, i'm not a big fan of swimming but it was so fun! even my grandparents got in! my grandma had a cute swimsuit on! (i love my grandparents!) the last day (saturday) we headed to the beach! kinda cold, but fun, besides adyson freaking out and not wanting to sleep even though she was way tired! but my uncle shawn took her for a ride on the beach and she fell right to sleep in his arms. hes a lifesaver! anyway, we had a good fried chicken lunch and took a family pic on the beach in our tye dye....my fams shirts kinda turned all pink. lol but it was fun!

thats the high lights of the reunion! so much more happened and so much fun with all the family! i love them all and we SO dont get together as much as we should!

so nothing much has happened since the 4th, so i thought i would add a cute random video i took of adyson a little bit ago.

this week as been very mellow, besides the sickness that hit us in the begining of the week and is lingering.

adyson now has two yeah thats right TWO TEETH! they are both her bottom front teeth. one is sticking out a little bit more then the other and sometimes when she smiles you can see a little white thing sticking out. she is getting better at rolling and is working really hard to crawl. she pretty much army crawls right now, but i know that she'll be on the move soon. she turned 8 months on the 10th and that just means that a year is just around the corner. i need to start decided on what her party is going to be! i think our b-days are going to be combined this year....heck probably from now on it'll always be about her and then me in the back ground, thats ok, i'm getting old and dont want to think about it! LOL

spencer is doing well in school and is REALLY happy that the semester will be over in 2 weeks! he is still working for the school every day from about 1 until 5. when school gets out, he will have the job for another 7 weeks until fall semester starts. he'll work from 8 til 5. its going to be so great to have money again!

me... i'm just the stay at home mommy. i've decided that i need to lose this baby weight i've had for soooooooo long! i love to shop but at the same time, its pointless when i dont feel great in the clothes. i just got some running shoes yesterday and i really want to start running, even though i'm not to excited about the whole running thing, since everyone that runs here is stick thin and runs marathons every other weekend! but hopefully i can get close to looking like them...maybe. my goal for now is 25 lbs but i needed some motivation so spencer said that if i lose that much he will take me to hawaii next year, which we are already trying to work for, but being a college family, it isnt really working out, but he said he would do anything, and so thats my goal! lose the weight to sun bathe in hawaii!!!! (lol, i am also working on saving money too)

miss 4th of july!

well happy 4th everyone. sorry its been a little while since my last post. so for the 4 day holiday weekend spencer and i decided to head home. everyone was starting to get sick here in moses lake so i was very iffy on if we should come or not. well after about 4 hours of debating, i said yes and we came. its been so much fun and VERY relaxing.

well lets get back to the sick part....so when we got here my bro and dad were sick with the pukes. (yeah nasty) anyway, they are told to not get near me or adyson and i used the antibacterial stuff like it was going out of style. anyway, everyone was doing great at being ok and my dad and bro were getting better. well last night kalei got it.....and now today on this day of celebration....spencer has it. i feel so bad for him and well, im kinda awaiting my turn....DAH! we are supposed to leave tomorrow but i really dont want spencer to travel. he needs to just rest! but he really needs to get back to school....what to do what to do. if i get sick, i am so staying here.

ANYWAY.....today was great up until spencer got sick (poor guy! i love you feel better) we had a bbq with my parents and later on we also had one with spencers parents, both stocked with great food and good company. well we came back to my parents to watch the fireworks and while spencer was taking refuge on the couch and bathroom, the rest of the fam was watching the great moses lake show. adyson LOVED the first half of her very first fouth of july! she feel asleep a little bit after it started but she loved it while she lasted. anyway thats my fourth filled fun and pukie people. hope it doesnt get to me and hope everyone feels better!

so.....i'm not flying home..... let me explain

spencer and i headed to idaho falls right after he got out of school so i could make it to the airport. we were early so we went to the cafe and had lunch. my bag and adysons carseat was already checked in so we all just spent some time together before i had to go through security and head to the gate. security went really smoothly and waiting was kinda ok with adyson. she was a little cranky but right before we boarded she fell right to sleep! i was so excited and knew take off would be a breeze.........

so everyone is on the plane, i'm sitting next to this really nice chick, the engines are running, we go through the whole seatbelt, crash info stuff, then.....everything shuts off. one big sigh come from everyone, adyson wakes up and the captin comes on the speaker saying theres a problem with one of the engines and we all have to get off with all of our stuff.....ok i have a back pack, a diaper bag and a baby...no so easy, i only have 2 hands!

well we get off...and by this time its 3:20...already an hour later then we were supposed to be going....well we wait for a while (like 30 min or something) and i am so worried about my connecting flight from seattle to spokane but they said it would all be taken care of. well they announce on the speakers that its fixed and ready to be boarded. i am so happy to hear that! i just want to be on my way, and get adyson somewhere because she is being a pain and screaming at everything, happy screams and crabby screams. well i show my ticket to the lady and head down the hall to the plane....well a guy comes out of the plane and tells us to turn around, theres more stuff to be worked on. by this time i want to just sit down and cry......well a little bit later as i'm sitting there trying to make adyson calm and happy they say that the flight is totally cancelled and i need to wait in line or call and book a new flight. well after being frustrated, tired, cranky, trying to call everyone to tell them the news, without thinking i told them to just refund my ticket. i could have gotten a flight the next day, for the same price i paid, but after going through that, i wanted to break down. i should have booked another flight! but oh well. its over and done with....i hate flying!!!

so tomorrow at 2:20 adyson and i fly home to moses lake (well fly to seattle then spokane). i'm kinda scared because i dont know how adyson is going to be and how its going to be trying to take care of her all by myself and i'm going to be away from spencer. and i dont know about the whole formula thing and if i can even take the powder on the plane with me. oh geeze. i'm pretty sure it'll all be ok. but i still worry...its what i do. so anyway, i'm excited but scared. the end....

ps...spencer isnt coming with us because he still has work and school. he'll be coming next thursday.

pss.....ADYSON IS GETTING HER FIRST TOOTH!!!!!!!!!! there is a little white bump coming out of her bottom gums. shes growing too fast! *tear* i'm going to miss her toothless grin. its SO cute!!! i want her to stay like this forever, but shes gotta grow up some time. shes growning so fast....next post is going to be her getting married! oh wow, just scared myself a little...

happy fathers day! today was spencers first fathers day! he got a grill! we were going to use it today....but we forgot the briquettes!

i just want to say that adyson and i love spencer! he is the best daddy, and as you can tell in these pictures, adyson LOVES her dad! she loves to spend time with him and play with him. if she could talk she would say he is the best daddy ever!!! we love you spencer!

i would also like to say that i love my daddy! he is the best dad i could ever ask for! hes like a 21 year old in an almost 45 year old body! he is so much fun and i always have the best time with him. thanks dad for being the best example!

the other day we found out that the carousel opened up! so me being the mother who wants her daughter to do everything, took her for her first ride! i took her for the first ride and spencer took her on the second. theres no pics of me sorry, i look really bad in the pics, so they are for my eyes only! hope you enjoy the pic and video! dont i have the most beautiful baby ever!?!?!

Spencer got a job! hes going to be.....

well hes not going to be willie but he is going to be a groundskeeper. hes working for the school! he starts tomorrow! he works for about 3-4 hours a day and gets 7.50 an hour! not bad! wel anyway thats our exciting news!
