4th of JULY!

We (I) love holidays!!! Decorating, dressing up....Its awesome!

 We did the usual bbq at the parents house, but Spencer didn't get to make it to them because he was working at a fireworks booth for a friend. It was long hours but he was paid well for it! Thanks Jacob! After Jacob closes the booth, he takes some fireworks out to his cousins house to do a HUGE fireworks show! Its awesome and you sit very close. So close that you are hit with bits of exploded fireworks!

The day after (5th) My dad and our nephew had a birthday! My dad turned 49 and Kazen turned one!!! My sister had a bday party at her house and after we played croquet. So much fun!

That same week Spencer was in a parade in Soap Lake! His work drove a jeep in the parade and Spencer recorded video. (he works at an internet/news station in ephrata as a graphic designer). He had a lot of fun and so did the girls!

June

June was a pretty quiet month. nothing to fantastic...

We of course celebrated Father's Day with the best dads ever!

Harper got her very first hair cut!!!! It was some what overdue!

 During... she started out as a little scared. I asked her if she wanted to hold my hand and she calmed right down. She was so awesome through the whole thing after that.

 After!!! It is so cute! (and not as crazy!)

 I got my hair cut after and she insisted on holding my hand while I got it cut. Such a sweetheart!

We had campfire dinner at my sisters house. It was some good food!

Memorial Day

SPRING FEST

The best weekend ever in Moses Lake. We didn't get to spend too much time there, due to my grandmas funeral, but we still made it and had some fun. We had some not so healthy but oh so good food at the park and walked around the booths. (we also did some other inportant stuff that day... but i will blog when it becomes official :D )

 Adyson was in the parade for her Little sisters program. She was so excited all month, asking "when is the moonlight party?!" (moonlight parade)

 the Rodebacks and Kings sat together for the parade. It was so much fun!

i didn't get a picture of her in the actual parade, but she was so cute! She had so much fun. She said she waved at everyone and made a few friends. 

On Memorial Day My parents, the girls and I went to the cemeteries in Moses Lake and Othello to lay flowers on passed family members. In Moses Lake we put flowers on Great Grandparets (Rodeback and Hill) and Great aunt Ladean. In Othello we laid flowers on my grandma, and great uncle Charile, Great Grandparents (Ruiz) and great aunt Pasquella. Adyson and Harper had a great time giving out the flowers.

Grandma Vasquez

My beautiful Grandma Vasquez passed away on May 19th. She was an awesome lady. She had been suffering for a long time with her health so I'm glad she is no longer suffering.

I remember so many things about my Grandma that make me miss her so much. Her laugh, her awesome food (especially the tamales!), her stories. here are some memories I have of her....

About a year or so ago she was over at my parents house and she told us so many stories about her life. She moved about 15-20 times. Crazy.

When I was in high school I had the chance to go to Europe. It was a once in a lifetime kind of trip and I was determined to go. My grandma and I made tamales to sell to friends, and at a garage sale. At the garage sale, my grandma told EVERYONE that I was trying to go on a trip. She got them all to fork over money for me. Shes a smooth talker :)

Garage sales..... she loved garage sales! One time my family took her to Longview for one of the biggest garage sales. Its a whole neighborhood, about 15-20 blocks. She was in heaven! She could talk the price down on anything.

She is so talented! She just recently made me a quilt right before she passed. It was the last time i saw her.  It is beautiful. I will cherish it forever. It was hard when I got the news. The week before she was told she had six months to live. Well she didn't last that long. She had been over in Spokane to be close to her doctors so i didn't get to see her that much. When she gave me the blanket. I gave her a big hug and told her I loved her. I didn't know that was the last time i'd see her. I'm so grateful that I saw her.

Im so grateful that she is at peace. It was a hard week for me but Spencer was there for me. The girls were awesome too. Harper would see that I was sad and came up to me. She crawled up on my lap, asked "okay mommy? you okay?" and give me kisses and cuddle.  Adyson told me one day "its ok that you miss her mommy, but you can look at pictures of her and be happy again." I have a pretty sweet family.

I miss you Grandma. SO MUCH! I know you are happy now and that I will see you again.I Love you!

Mothers Day

It was another awesome mothers day. The girls got me a card and a orchid. Spencer got me a mariners shirt, chocolate, and a foul ball from a mariners game!

Can't believe my baby is two. She is so full of energy! Shes loving and caring, and a wild animal all rolled into  one. She just had her check up and shes about 25 lbs and 33inches tall. We are working on potty training and its going...ok. She loves to sing. Her favorite song is still We Are Young. When daddy gets home from work she runs to greet him and asks if they can cuddle. Its so adorable! I love you Harper. You are a handful at times, and yes the terrible twos are here in full force. But when you come up to me and hug and kiss and snuggle, and make your funny faces for me, it makes it all worth it! Happy Birthday!

Cinco de Mayo!

Mexican Day! So i'm 1/2 mexican (my mom is full), which makes my girls 1/4 mexi! So we celebrated with a pinata and some yummy food. (well everyone but me. the nasty flu bug hit me, and I was down for the count)
