December

December was a very busy month for us!!!!
Dec 1st we did Cocoa Countdown! The grandkids decorated cookies and had hot chocolate. Grandma handed out the ornaments too. Adyson got Princess Tiana and Harper got Minni Mouse. My mom also bought Spencer and I one. Its a our first home one :)

Dec 3rd Adyson had her very first performance for dance. She did awesome and was so cute! They also had a daddy daughter dance too. Adyson and Kamaile also made their way into another dance! It was just for the preschool kids that go to the dance fx preschool. They called for all the preschool kids to come get ready and Adyson and Kamaile said they were in preschool (just not the dance fx one!)

We also got our first real tree! YAY! It was more for me. I love getting a real tree. We also helped out our wards scout troop so it was a win win :)

We also helped my dad go get a tree for their house.

Cathy works at a nice hotel in Moses Lake and we were able to go there (i think it was christmas eve) and swim and open a few gifts with Spencers parents and brother and his family. It was a lot of fun. Spencers mom always gets everyone pjs for christmas eve.

This picture is of the girls in their dresses santa brought. Adyson was in a bad mood. (i woke them up early so we could open our gifts up christmas morning before going to see other family) Harper fell in love with guitars so we decided to get her her own. SHE LOVES IT! Adyson wanted Aurora and Phillip dolls and thats what she got. She has been saying she wants more boys for her princesses. lol

In the month some where we also had a Vasquez Christmas dinner. It was a lot of fun! Really awesome food and great gifts!

We had a great year and cant wait to see what this year brings!

well besides thanksgiving (which I have zero pictures of it, I forget every year!), we celebrated some birthdays....

I turned 26 on the first! It was British theme. We went with my family to fish and chips, and after we all got together at my parents house for cake and ice cream! YUM. I got a new purse, makeup, cash!, a giftcard for new shoes, and some other things I cant remember! but I love them even if I cant remember!

And on the 10th Adyson turned 5!!!! Her bday landed on a sunday this year, so the day before she had her first friends party, and a family party on sunday. It was my little pony theme. I decided to make headbands for the girls that came. They turned out so cute!

The girls got to pin the tail on the pony, make cutie marks, and decorate cupcakes.

Adyson had so much fun and is already planning next years.

October

October was pretty much normal for us. Adyson ended her soccer season with a bang... she actually kicked the ball! Its a big improvement from following everyone else and watching everyone kick it. The girls made sugar cookies with my mom. They had so much fun, and Harper ate most of the dough before it made it to the oven.

We went to the pumpkin patch again. All the grand kids rode the kiddie roller coaster. Harper looked so scared, but she said she had fun. It was funny to watch them, but I'll be honest, I was scared to death to let Harper ride! Shes so small!

Spencer and I and our friends Kalvin and Anne Stakkeland went to a hockey game in Wenatchee. We got the tickets from our awesome car insurance agent! So we head to Wenatchee, eat some dinner, and head on over to the arena. We get in there and we finally look at the tickets.... FRONT ROW! Don't know why we didn't look at them sooner. It was awesome to be right up next to the glass and pound on it when the opposing team was there. AWESOME! Spencer had a guy get slammed into the glass right in front of him. I am a huge fan of going to hockey games now since the first time! Can't wait to go to another game!

We also did the annual Bruce-Rodeback-King pumpkin carving party. Spencer and I were Frankenstein and the bride of Frankenstein. Adyson was a vampire and Harper was a witch.  The girls were so much fun to go trick or treating with! Harper was so cute telling everyone "I'M A WITCH!" We trick or treated down 3rd ave, and at the trunk or treat and around our new neighborhood. Spencer and Adyson handed out candy on the porch. It was so sweet to see Adyson hand out stickers she bought to give out. I didn't get a picture though!!! We discovered that our neighborhood is crazy packed with trick or treaters. We ran out of candy in about 20 min. Adyson decided to go though her own candy and hand out a few pieces from it. We had a great Halloween and we are already preparing for next year! Masquerade anyone!?

(so in this pic ^ Harper is wearing a shirt with a bat on it. ever since she first wore it at the beginning of the month, Harper told us to call her Batman. LOL)

September recap!

At the end of August/Beginning of September the girls and I (spencer had to work :( ) made a trip to Longview to see my Grandparents and celebrate Grandpa and My sisters bday. Its always so great to see my grandparents!
Harper showing me the flowers at their house

Longview is close to Portland so we headed over there and stood in line for an hour to try some voodoo doughnuts. SO GOOD!! It was a long wait, but they had a guy there telling stories and making balloon animals for the kids.

My grandpa and my sister have close birthdays and they always try to celebrate togther. My grandpas birthday fell on labor day, so we went out to breakfast at the best place ever Stuffys. YUM They are known for their big portions. That cinnamon roll was HUGE!!!!

On the way home we stopped and picked some blueberries. I dont like them, but Harper and Adyson (and my dad) couldnt stop eating them!

This September was pretty much all about Adyson! LOL! She started soccer, dance, and preschool! She loves all of it! Especially dance. This is the first time she will be able to go the whole year and participate in the performances! Awesomeness! Harper is still too young for all of it, but its ok. It gives us time to bond

And this biggest news of all!!!! drum roll please................

We bought a house! The starter home!
Its 3 beds 2 baths. I love the kitchen! Sorry I don't have more pictures, we are still moving things in and decorating!

August... so far....

Here is what we have been up to this month...

The weekend after we got back from the reunion we took the girls on dates!
Spencer took Adyson to watch Planes in 3D while Harper and I stayed home and watched her favorite shows and took a nap. Right when Spencer and Adyson were gone, Harper crawled up on my lap, and said really sweetly.. "Is Daddy going to come get Harper too?"Originally it was just Spencer and Adyson going on a date, but after that, we totally said yes to her! So before they got back, I put Harper in her prettiest dress, fixed her hair, and got her purse ready! Spencer came and knocked on the door and when I opened it she said "Daddy I am ready for my date!" SO CUTE

Spencer took her for dinner by the lake....

...and Adyson and I had a candle light dinner of spaghetti and watched her favorite movie. During dinner Adyson jumped up and said her "daughter" needed to eat with us too. So she ran, got one of her dolls, and set up dinner for her. So cute! The one thing she wants to be is a mommy. :)

We also went to the world breastfeeding celebration in town. Its just a little get together of businesses, dentist offices, organizations, etc... that get together and give out prizes and information for mothers around town about children. Its really fun for kids and the prizes are great! I was lucky! This year they had our towns celebrity! Alexys Sanchez was in the Grown Ups movies. She plays Adam Sandlers daughter.... the one that says "i wanna get chocolate wasted!" She actually sat next to my sisters booth. The girls got a picture with her but they are on my phone.

And of course we went to the Grant County Fair!!!!
We did the usual entering of pictures, ate the yummy fair food, and the girls did the cute kids show! Spencer and Adyson rode the ferris wheel and the girls won a prize at the fishing pond.

we also......
 learned to ride a bike
 ...played at the park

and got a new, bigger bike!
Fun times!
