Crafting and gardening....

I've been trying to find different things to do with the girls/for myself and this is what we've done so far... (besides swimming in out tiny frog pool and running through the sprinklers, lol)

Last time my mom and dad came to visit, Adyson sweet talked my mom into getting her an unfinished birdhouse. I finally got around to getting paint for her so she finally painted it (with a little help from me). She is so proud of it! The box is my project. My sis in law gave it to me probably over a year ago and we also picked out the paper that long ago too! I finally found some time and crafty-ness in me to finish it. I am using the box to hold the girls' blessing dresses in it. I love the paper I found. You cant tell but the gray leaves are actually a little shinny. On the glass I am going to use my moms cricket and put the word "blessing" on it or do that etched glass effect on it and have blessing be the plain glass.

We went to the farmers market a while back and Adyson and I picked out these pretty flowers to plant. I have no idea what they are called, but they have lived the longest out of all the plants I've ever owned. I always seem to kill the plants I have, but this time I am paying more attention to them! I really wish the mini rose plant Spencer bought me last year lived. Maybe... its at my parents house in WA. Cant wait to have my own garden... hopefully it will stay alive!

Now its time to pack.......

ZOO (again...)

Well we made our annual trip to the Tautphaus Park Zoo. It is actually our last time going! Crazy! Anywho... It was Harper's second time, but pretty much her first because she was a newborn when we went last year. She loved it. When we saw the tigers and lions she would growl at them. One lion even looked over at her. Like always we had fun! Adyson and Harper had a blast petting the goats they have there. Im going to miss having a zoo so close!

Fathers Day 2012

So this year we had a great steak dinner to celebrate. Memorial day weekend Spencer scored and got 2 charcoal grills for free! He fixed them up and now we have 2 grills, one of which we are going to sell. So for his Fathers Day dinner he made Brazilian style steak, and I made deviled eggs and Jill Baker's famous twice baked potatoes! YUM and for dessert, Spencer's favorite banana cream pie. From his girls he got a shutterfly book that I made that was 5 reasons why we love daddy. he loved it!!! (got a coupon for a free book, score!)

Adyson says....."We love you daddy! Happy Father's Day! You like to go to school and I like to go to school. You give me kisses. I love you. We are best friends!"

Harper says...... "HI DADA. a la oooo (i love you). GRANDPA!!!!" ( thats her favorite word, grandpa)

Amber says.... "I love you. Thanks for being a awesome dad to our beautiful girls! You always take time and be with them and help them know that their daddy loves them and would do anything for them. Thanks for always being there!" (and to my dad... thanks for being such an awesome dad who acts like hes 21! I have so many awesome and funny memories with you. cant wait for more! wish I could have spent it with you!)

King Tut Exhibit

So I really wanted to go to the new exhibit at the Museum of Idaho in Idaho Falls. Its called King Tut: Treasures of the Tomb. Well it was cool. I was expecting real stuff, but it was all replicas. The replicas were all made in Egypt by the ancestors of the original makers, but with the titanic exhibit it had the real things ans it was so much bigger. Oh well it was still cool. the gift shop was the best though! We got our nieces and soon to be nephew's names in Egyptian. my sis loves Egyptian stuff and my nieces both have middle names that are Egyptian. We bought a cool anubis  for ourselves that was made in Egypt. way cool (ps sorry pics are kinda bad. no flash aloud)

even though it was a replica is looked creepily real!

for Kalei ^ sorry didnt remember an isis pic kamaile we have a temp tattoo though!

and of course we hit up the children's part.

Mommy Daughter date.

Lately I've been feeling like Adyson is feeling left out. Harper gets the attention recently because she is learning new things all the time and just needs more attention because shes smaller and all....ya know what i'm taking about.... I've felt so bad about this so I decided to do something about it.

we decided we wanted a cupcake so we went to the best place! The Cocoa Bean! Sadly they only had 2 kinds left when we got there, but we found out that they have cupcake ice cream so we got my favorite cupcake... in ice cream form. YUM
after we went to fat cats for a hour of fun! we played games and got lots of tickets to get a cheap-o prize. but it was fun to see her play the games. one of the games we liked was fruit ninja. they had a huge touch screen to play on! so fun. it was 4 tokens though, but someone put 3 tokens in and walked away so we got to play for 1 : ) it was such a fun time and I'm going to try to do just us things with her every week!

Day at the park.

We are so lucky to love in a town that has TONS of cool parks to go to. And most in walking distance. Heres pics of just some of the times we've gone.

on our way to smith park.
harper playing peekaboo

at the splash park at Porter Park. Adyson loves that park because it has free swimming AND a carousel!
really surprised that harper played in the water. i was thinking she would hate it, last time we tried to get her in a pool she freaked out! this time it took her a few minutes but she saw her sister doing it and joined in on the fun!

and heres a random pic of harper's 1st pig tails.

Bill Cosby!!!

Last month, Spencer found out that Bill Cosby was coming to BYU-Idaho! We were so excited and when tickets went on sale they went fast. Sold out in 10 minutes! We weren't fast enough to get tickets, but luckily Mr Cosby decided to add another show and then that sold out so he opened another one and we were the lucky ones to get tickets!!! So June 6th we went and saw him opening night and holy cow it was HILARIOUS!!! I have never heard or seen Spencer laugh that hard, or that much. It was sooooo cool to see Bill Cosby! It was one of the coolest dates we've been on! I would go see him again if I could! The pictures I got aren't the greatest, but you can still tell its him. We weren't aloud to use flash. And the ones I got of him, he looks like hes glowing. LOL
