October was pretty much normal for us. Adyson ended her soccer season with a bang... she actually kicked the ball! Its a big improvement from following everyone else and watching everyone kick it. The girls made sugar cookies with my mom. They had so much fun, and Harper ate most of the dough before it made it to the oven.
We went to the pumpkin patch again. All the grand kids rode the kiddie roller coaster. Harper looked so scared, but she said she had fun. It was funny to watch them, but I'll be honest, I was scared to death to let Harper ride! Shes so small!
Spencer and I and our friends Kalvin and Anne Stakkeland went to a hockey game in Wenatchee. We got the tickets from our awesome car insurance agent! So we head to Wenatchee, eat some dinner, and head on over to the arena. We get in there and we finally look at the tickets.... FRONT ROW! Don't know why we didn't look at them sooner. It was awesome to be right up next to the glass and pound on it when the opposing team was there. AWESOME! Spencer had a guy get slammed into the glass right in front of him. I am a huge fan of going to hockey games now since the first time! Can't wait to go to another game!
We also did the annual Bruce-Rodeback-King pumpkin carving party. Spencer and I were Frankenstein and the bride of Frankenstein. Adyson was a vampire and Harper was a witch. The girls were so much fun to go trick or treating with! Harper was so cute telling everyone "I'M A WITCH!" We trick or treated down 3rd ave, and at the trunk or treat and around our new neighborhood. Spencer and Adyson handed out candy on the porch. It was so sweet to see Adyson hand out stickers she bought to give out. I didn't get a picture though!!! We discovered that our neighborhood is crazy packed with trick or treaters. We ran out of candy in about 20 min. Adyson decided to go though her own candy and hand out a few pieces from it. We had a great Halloween and we are already preparing for next year! Masquerade anyone!?
(so in this pic ^ Harper is wearing a shirt with a bat on it. ever since she first wore it at the beginning of the month, Harper told us to call her Batman. LOL)
