rexburg....our new home!

*kinda long post, but please read on.
so we're here in rexburg! we are very excited to be here for our next adventure! we still have some unpacking to do, but the apt is mostly put together. sorry no pics yet of the apt, its still in the process of being decorated and such. um lets see......i made dinner for the FIRST time since spencer and i have been married.....yeah i know, we've been married for about a year and a month and its the 1st time.......i JUST got some dishes and pots and pans to cook in....and i'm still learning how to cook. anyway, for our first meal/new years dinner, spencer and i had yummy spaghetti! ady of course had some milk....actually she kinda was passed out on the couch for dinner. lol.
so far we've been doing great, just going around town so spencer can get to know the town and i can get to know it more. oh man....so today was an ADVENTURE.....so....we went to church today for the first time. its a great ward with lots of nice people. were in the 90th ward (HOLY CRAP)! so heres what happened.....sacrament was great, lots of amazing testimonies and lots of people our age! 3rd ward back home had one couple our age! anyway....ady was asleep in her car seat, and she looked so cute and i really wanted to take her out, but i let her sleep....then someone bore there testimony and talked about their new baby, so spencer said he wanted to hold her....needless to say she got cranky with us and spencer took her out in the hall to feed her. he never came back after that so when sacrament was over i went to find them.....i hear her crying and followed the cry to a room where spencer was sitting, he said i have her for the rest of the time at church because....she spit up, no puked up all of the milk she just drank ALL over spencer. well, after the semi clean up adyson and specner we headed to sunday school which was really great! then off to relief society/ priesthood. i took adyson because spencer kinda didn't want to get puked on again.....well.....after the song and prayer and about 2 seconds of the lesson...adyson decided she wanted to test her lungs.....it was SO loud! since being new, i had no idea where the mothers room was, so i had to ask someone, and of course everyone heard....anyway, i go to the mothers room, which is frickin HUGE! its about the size of a primary room with about 20 recliners in it! well after ady ate, i tried to go back into relief society....but right when i got back in there adyson decided that relief society just wasn't her thing.....she screamed at the top of her lungs, while exiting i mouthed a quick sorry to all the people looking at me aka the whole room. well, she finally calmed down and by that time it was the closing song, and one of my favorites, so i headed back in.....the song got over, the prayer just started to be said and.....the screaming began again......yeah, i'm pretty sure NO ONE heard the poor sister giving the prayer. well make a long story short......when adyson is sleeping.....LEAVE HER ALONE! no matter how cute she looks....LOL the end, heres some pics!

heres adyson in her new hat i had to get her. its jamba juice. it was 3 bucks! and jamba has the best smoothies!

our first meal and our cute table!

awe, a pic of us before we ate.....adyson was fast asleep on the couch

the beautiful temple.....we're just down the hill from the temple and we can see it from our bedroom window

How exciting! What a fun adventure for you guys! I loved the story about Relief society! But what I really want to know is How on earth did you get away with not cooking for a WHOLE year? That's crazy! But congrats on your first meal! :)

Way to make dinner Amber! It looks yummy. :)

And, if I was going to relief society, I am pretty sure I would pray that my kid would cry so I could get out of there. Haha!!

Hey Amber! Hopefully you don't mind that I found your blog but I really enjoyed your story about church. It was pretty comical:) Adyson is beautiful! You guys are such a cute little family:) And I have to say I'm a little jealous you can see the temple out your window. Sounds like the perfect view :)
